Kataragama is an ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka ruled by the kings of Ruhuna, the southern Stronghold. Which dates back to 2nd Century BC.

While you are in Kataragama enjoy wildlife safari tours at Yala National Park. This area is now famous for leopard watching. Another option available is for you is Bundala Bird Sanctuary and National park of Ramser wetlands.

You will be driven back to Colombo along the southern coastal belt that stretches Up to 300 kms., which offers you beautiful beach sceneries in bays and harbours. With a one night stop in Galle or Bentota.
